Soccer Development Academy
Legion FC revamped their Pre-Academy program in the Spring of 2021. They have created Soccer Development Academy (SDA) and aligns with the current Legion FC Academy program and the US Soccer curriculum and goals. The players will be trained by certified coaches that have been educated by US Soccer on the USSF pathway.
The program is designed to increase the technical and tactical development of players who are looking to eventually participate at higher levels of play, such as the academy and select programs at Legion FC.

PROGRAM GOALS
Our main goal is to bridge the gap between our recreational program and our academy program. Our goal is to create a more developmental and focused environment to focus on player development technically and tactically at a higher level of play.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
SDA is available to boys and girls from ages U5 to U12. We provide all boy teams and all girl teams if possible. We also have coed teams. This program will have limited spaces to ensure quality soccer development and to maintain the correct player and coach ratio.
COMMITMENTS
- Players are interested in a higher level of play – this is not recreational soccer
- Players are committed to attending two practices a week
- Players are committed to games each weekend
SDA RECOMMENDATIONS – ARE YOU READY FOR SDA?
- It is recommended that the player has played at least ONE Season in the REC program
- The Player has been identified at a summer or winter camp
- The player has played in the SDA at a different age group
SDA FEES – PLAYER REGISTRATION AND UNIFORM INFORMATION
SDA U5 through U6 $160.00
SDA U7 through U12 $300.00
The registration fees do not include uniform or occasional tournament fees.
OTHER INFORMATION
3v3 and Tournaments
- Players in the U8 – U12 age groups will participate in the 3v3 tournament in the Fall and Spring Seasons when available.
- Post season tournaments are possible for ages U8 – U12. Fees are not included with registration.
